Aerobin Composting Simulation

Aerobin 200 Composter - the first composter which requires no extra work - no turning required. This is a high capacity unit which can produce up to 330 gals of compost annually (the same as 3 "ordinary" 90-110 gal compost bins. Unique patented design keeps new and old material separated - for better compost. The internal "lung" system provides continuous airflow which enables the micro-organisms to work all the time - this is called an "aerobic" composter (most others are only anaerobic). The double walls with polystyrene provide a high degree of insulation, both against excesive summer heat and/or very cold weather. In addition, the unit comes with a reservoir at the bottom to collect the leachate, which when diluted make for great "compost-tea". Capacity: 200 liters / 55 gallons.

Designed in Australia.

Aerobin Composting Simulation

The Aerobin 400 uses a patented lungĀ® or aeration core inside a sealed bin to promote aerobic break down of organic matter, which experts say is the preferable method to reduce greenhouse gas emissions.

The thermal insulation in the Aerobin conserves heat, leading to rapid breakdown of the biomass and works efficiently year round, even in cooler regions. There is no need to turn the biomass and it is pet and rodent resistant. It has little odor and can kill noxious weeds and seeds.

The Aerobin is easy to use - just open, drop and close. After a short time, fertile compost is produced, which is easily accessed via the lower side door. The Aerobin also captures moisture that can be used as liquid fertilizer.

You can regularly put a mixture of wet materials such as food scraps, coffee grounds and lawn clippings together with dry materials such as leaves, twigs and newspaper into the bin and because it breaks down material so fast, the bin should always have plenty of room.

I am struggling to assemble my Aerobin 200. All four of the 3-sided pieces are exactly the same, and none have orange inserts. None of them snap securely into the base, such that I could lift it using them. Mispackage, or am I missing something?

Exaco Customer Support | 5 Months Ago

It seems the orange inserts are no longer provided as of 2014, per Rob Adam, but the instructions still mention them and need to be updated. Any two of the 3-sided panels can be attached to the base. They don't snap in so much as loosely hook on. Only once all panels are put together does the unit become sturdy. Great support from Samvardhana Motherson Group.

I have this greenhouse, and it's pretty great. But, someone ripped open the back window and broke the plastic sash lock. Where can I get replacement parts like a sash lock?
